Today's thought-

A father loves that of his sons who is more industrious. An earning son is welcomed and respected at home. Father doesn't need his earnings, but seeing his betterment and progress, he becomes satisfied. If one of the two sons becomes a collector and second one becomes a trash, then the father praises his that son everywhere who has got collector. Though the son only entertains the physical benefits of that higher post, above all the father feels proud that one of his creations proved so worthy. Father gets so disappointed at his unworthy son from within. He himself feels ashamed of his deeds, never discusses with anybody about him and never reveals among strangers that this is my son. How should a guardian feel proud of his unworthy progeny?

पिता अपने उस बच्चे को अधिक प्यार करता है, जो अधिक उद्योगी होता है। कमाऊ पूत का घर में स्वागत-सत्कार किया जाता है। पिता को उसकी कमाई नहीं चाहिए, पर उसकी उन्नति देखकर उसे संतोष होता है। एक लड़का कलेक्टर हो जाए और दूसरा भीख माँगे तो पिता जगह-जगह अपने उस लड़के की प्रशंसा करेगा जो कलेक्टर हो गया है। भले ही उस उच्च पद का भौतिक लाभ उस लड़के को ही मिलता है, तो भी पिता इसमें गर्व करता है कि मेरी एक रचना प्रशंसा के योग्य सिद्ध हुई। भिखारी लड़के के बारे में पिता मन-ही-मन खिन्न रहता है, उसके कार्यों से स्वयं भी लज्जित होता है, किसी से उसके बारे में चर्चा नहीं करता और अपरिचितों में यह प्रकट नहीं करता कि यह मेरा ही लड़का है। निकम्मी संतान पर भला कौन अभिभावक गर्व कर सकता है?

 God too expects the same thing from us. He becomes so happy seeing you courageous, industrious, progressive, conqueror, prosperous, intellectual, full of godly virtues and so pure. And He hugs you tightly for no reason. He never wishes that you ever put tilak to Him or not, feed Him or not, blabber His name or not; because no work of God is stopped in lack of these. He doesn't get happy with such things. His happiness bursts only when He sees His son  uplifting, progressive, soaring high and thus He feels the worthiness of His creations!

ईश्वर भी हमसे ऐसी ही आशा करता है। वह आपको पराक्रमी, पुरुषार्थी, उन्नतिशील, विजयी, महान वैभवयुक्त, विद्वान, गुणवान, निश्छल देखकर बहुत प्रसन्न होता है और अनायास ही उठाकर छाती से लगा लेता है। उसे इस बात की इच्छा नहीं कि आप उसे तिलक लगाते हैं या नहीं, भोग लगाते हैं या नहीं, रटते हैं या नहीं; क्योंकि उस सर्व-शक्तिमान प्रभु का कोई भी काम इन सबके बिना रुका नहीं है। वह इन सब बातों से प्रसन्न नहीं होता। उसकी प्रसन्नता तब प्रस्फुटित होती है, जब अपने पुत्रों को ऊँचा चढ़ते, उन्नति करते देखता है, अपनी रचना की सार्थकता अनुभव करता है!
